DESCRIPTION
Someone accidently put a piranha in their fish tank! You can guess what
happened next... Your mission is to find your way out of the fish tank
and eventually escape back to your home in the Amazon. Of course, being
a piranha you have a huge appetite and should eat everything in site,
too. Swim around the fish tank searching for keys, treasure chests,
and other useful items. Eat those guppies, but watch out for the nasty
jellyfish and other sea monsters!
As you guide your piranha around each level, you will solve certain
puzzles in order to move on to the next level. For example, the first
level has a locked grate on the right side of the tank. You must get
the Yellow Key, which is somewhere in the tank, to open the grate and
exit to level 2. Sounds easy, but you have to watch out for enemies and
make sure you don't run out of health. Sometimes you will need to go
back to a previous level to get something needed for the level you're
playing.
REQUIREMENTS
Fish Tank Terror requires a color or 4-bit grayscale Palm OS handheld
running Palm OS 3.3 or greater.
Fish Tank Terror is a very graphically intensive game and may require
overclocking on some Palm devices. To test your CPU speed, check the
"Show Animation Stats" option on the Options screen. You should get
around 14-15 FPS while playing the game. The indicator will show
something like "14S" or "14H". If you're not seeing a fast enough frame
rate, you can turn off the bubbles and/or the parallaxing backgrounds
in the Options screen. Turning off these options will significantly
speed up the game, but will reduce the amount of graphical detail. You
can also try installing and configuring Afterburner, or another
overclocking utility, to run Fish Tank Terror at or above 28MHz.
INSTALLATION
Install Fish Tank Terror as you would any other Palm application.
Double-click on either FishTankTerrorColor.prc (for the color version) or
FishTankTerrorGray.prc (for the grayscale version) from within WinZip or
another .zip utility, or after extracting the files from FishTankDemo.zip
to a hard disk directory. After you hotsync, Fish Tank Terror will be
installed on your Palm, ready to run.
